Hi everyone. I'm Lisa, 38 from Rochester,NY. Few years ago I went with a group of ghost hunters to the Mansfield Reformatory. I have loads of pics from the trip, so here's a peek and the rest are behind the cut. 10 pics below the cut.. the rest are in my journal, link at the bottom.

All of the Mansfield pics are in my journal. There's so many pics you can check out the rest here.. http://midnightgds.livejournal.com/69081.html

i have to ask: what were the religious icons from?
a chapel?
were they closed off in something to prevent them
from being stolen or vandalized?
id be wayyyy to scared to go in there but it sure
was cool to read about your experience & see the pix!

The room with the icons was in the chapel indeed. :) I believe they were enclosed because the reformatory had been vandalised a few times and some of the things were stolen, etc.. When you first go in, you have to sign a paper stating that you won't take anything from the building, not even a small stone. If you do take anything, even a feather or stone, then they would press charges against you for stealing.

That looks incredible, what was your impression of it?
I got so excited looking at those pictures, I would love to be able to do a vigil there. It's so eerie and dark.
You must have had some sort of activity there?
